High pressure weather conditions affecting television and radio services this weekend

Freeview television advice

Viewers across some parts of the UK could see some disruption to their TV reception on the weekend of the 22nd June.   This is due to high pressure which could disrupt television signals.

You are advised not to retune your TV during this time - reception will be restored once the high pressure passes.

Matt Taylor from the BBC Weather team explains.

Radio advice

Radio reception is not as severely impacted as television.  You might hear distant radio stations instead of the station you want to listen to. There is nothing that can be done about this apart from wait until the weather changes.  Read our help guide for more info.

Satellite and cable services are not affected.
